NASCAR weekend

NASCAR weekend is one of the fun times I get to spend alone with my husband and I love it. My favorite is Jimmie Johnson #48 and Mike's is favorite driver is Jeff Gordon #24. Both are awesome drivers and lots of fun to watch. We had a great time this year. The weather was great and the race was full of excitement up to the very end. I was able to see a couple of my friends from Utah this weekend and that was fun. But the best part was just spending time with Mike and having fun together.

Yesterday we spent the day with my sister Tracy and her family in Las Vegas. We went to the Adventure Dome in Circus Circus and rode all the rides. I was so amazed that Sawyer was not even a little freaked out by any of them. She went on all of them. After we finished at Circus Circus we headed over to New York New York to ride the coaster there. Everyone else went but Sawyer and I. She could not ride because she is only 48 inches and you had to be 54 inches. She was very upset that she was not tall enough. After that we ate at the America Dinner in the New York New York. We made a trip across the street to the M & M Factory and the Coke Factory. It was a lot of fun to see my sister and spend time with her and Darren. Lindsay had to stay home because of her job but Austin and Zach came down. They were staying in Mesquite for a baseball tournament that Austin was in for Roy High School. Zach brought his adorable girlfriend Ashley who we all really like. Grandma Butterfield rode down with them and stayed with us for the 4 days. It was a lot of fun to have her here. Thanks for coming to see us everyone. We love you all.

Happy Valentine's Day

Valentine's day pancakes

Happy Valentine's Day to all of our friends and family. We had a great day. This morning I woke up and made everyone pink, heart shaped pancakes. WE had a very nice breakfast and it was extra special having Grandma Butterfield here with us. Later that night my wonderful and awesome husband took me to dinner in Las Vegas. We opted to go to the Olive Garden and sit at the bar so we did not have to wait 2 hours. We were in and out in 1 hour. It was a very nice and relaxing evening with my hubby. He game we some beautiful flowers and a big Valentines balloon. I got him a shirt and a game. I love you Michael and thanks for being my Valentine.

Church Fire

Today our ward building was burned to the ground. From what I know a call came into 911 around 4:00 a.m. saying that the church was on fire. Mike called me around 6:45 a.m. on his way to work and told me it was on fire. Sawyer and I got up and drove down as far as we could to take some pictures. It was a very sad site to see. Looking at were our chapel us to be and seeing debris and what was left of the brick walls was a little over whelming. The church was built back in the depression by the people of the church here in the Logandale/Overton area. From what I have been told the bricks were made by hand and all the money used to build it came from the members. I loved this building. It was the first church Mike and I went to as a family. This is were Dylan was ordained a Deacon. I met most of my close and dear Friends here in this wonderful valley there. Yet in the sadness of it all no one was hurt and the church is still true. We will all over come the trails that this will bring. I know that it will bring our ward and stake closer together. I am very grateful to live here and to be apart of such an amazing ward. We have the greatest Bishop any ward could ask for. It is a great and wonderful blessing to be a member of this church and to have the ward and stake family we do. Most of the time good comes from tragic moments. I know it will here.

Cj's first bath

This afternoon CJ needed a bath. She really smelled like a little puppy. After the bath she was just a shaking so I wrapped her up in her blankie. She feel a sleep so I laid her on the couch. When I came back she had bunched up her self in the blanket and this is what I found. Isn't she so cute?!
