During the week Mitch and Connor were her Dylan headed off to Scout camp. He left early Monday morning with a back pack and a sleeping bag. He was clean and smelled good when he left. When he got home.......well that is another story. He said he had a lot of fun but is glad to be home. They went fishing and from the sounds of it hiked over a big boulder field. We sure missed him while he was gone. Mike and I are so proud of Dylan. He will be 12 on the 25th of July. He will be ordained a deacon before he goes back to CO. Dylan we all love you and think you are the best Big Brother and son any Father and Step-Mother could ask for.

Mitchell and Connor come to visit

Mitchell and Connor came to stay with us for a couple days while my sister Kathy and her husband Andrew went to Las Vegas. We had so much fun with them here. We went to the splash pad in Moapa during the day and on Friday night Uncle Mike took us all to the movies. We saw WALL E. It is so cute. The kids loved it and had a great time. We were sad to see them go. next time they have to stay longer. We love you guys.

New Hair cuts

Austin and Blake wanted their hair cut in a Mohawks really bad. So one Monday morning in June we did it. They got to keep it until Saturday and then it had to come off for Sunday. They love it and had lots of fun during the week with them. Now they have little buzz cuts and they look so handsome.

Grandma Butterfield

Grandma Butterfield came to visit us around the 15th of June. She was only going to stay for a week but ended up staying for 2 1/2 weeks. We had a great time with her here. She got to know the boys and spend time doing what she does best....SPOILING!!!
The kids loved having her here and took for advantage Grandma to back them up in getting their way. We love you Grandma Butterfield and miss you so much.
While she was here we had the chance to go to the Las Vegas temple with some of my friends. It was such a neat experience to be able to go with the ladies and have my mom tag along.

It wasn't me

The other day Austin and Blake were outside playing while Mike and I were getting ready to go to a softball game. Austin came running in the house all excited that he wanted his Dad to come and see what he had done. It took Mike a few more minutes to get dressed and etc.....so he went outside and was gone for about 1 minute. He came back in and was very calm and told me that I needed to walk outside and see what the boys had drawn on the driveway. Now in my mind I was thinking sidewalk chalk. We have tons of it in the garage for the kids. Well........it wasn't chalk....it was marker. Big, Black, and permanent marker. Austin even signed his name to it. Now all the markers are hidden. We had never had a problem with the kids drawing on things like this. We both think it is pretty darn cute. We just don't want it to happen again.

All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth....

About two weeks ago our little Sawyer Marie lost her two bottom front teeth. They have been wiggle for about 2 months. mike finally talked her into let him do the old string trick to get the tooth out, but it didn't work. About 30 minutes later she gave up stairs with the tooth in her hand. Then about 1 hour later she came upstairs worried because she had dropped the second tooth on the floor downstairs. We found it and all was saved. She got $2 for her little teeth. She told us the next morning that the tooth fairy wears high heels.....when we asked her how she know that she said, "I could fell them poking my arm when she was walking up it to get to my pillow." She is so proud of her gap, but her Dad has her a little worried that the new teeth might not grow in.

Splash Pad

We found a great summer spot. It is the Moapa Splash Pad. It is free to the public and lots of fun for the kids. It keeps them cool and they have a blast. We pack a lunch and stay for a couple of hours. It is so hot here that we have to do things outside with water to keep cool. If not we are stuck inside until 7:00 p.m. when it cools down and you can stand to be outside. Anyone want to come visit????
